Taiwo Odumosu is the Principal Partner at Alpha Law Firm. He attended the Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Nigeria where he obtained an LL.B, (Hons.) in 1998. He also obtained his LL.M from the same university in 2004 and he is currently researching for his Ph.D.

Taiwo was admitted to the prestigious Nigerian Bar in 2000 and he is an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) where he is currently a member of the Section on Business Law and Section on Legal Practice. He is the General Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ijebu Ode Branch. Odumosu combines his legal practice with active research activities. He has attended both national and international conferences where he delivered thought-provoking papers on the environment, research for sustainable development, conflict resolution and labour matters.

On leaving the Nigerian Law School, Odumosu had a working stint with the law firm of Chief Gani Fawehinmi Chambers where he cut his active legal teeth and worked as an editor/proof-reader on the leading law report in Nigeria, the Nigerian Weekly Law Report (NWLR). He was also a Deputy Editor of the defunct Judgment of the Supreme Court Cases. He has considerable experience in energy, banking and land law. He had participated in high-profile commercial arbitrations and civil litigations arising from tax and banking matters and, oil and gas industry.

Aside from his supervisory roles, he heads the Litigation and Legal Drafting department of the firm. He supervises and takes active part in Legal drafting – Commercial Agreements, Memorandum of understanding, Arbitration, Negotiation and conciliation, consultancy in property matters, Company/Secretarial Practice, coordination of litigation, writing of legal opinions, preparation of legal advice, appearances in court etc. He is currently in charge of the firm’s international operations.

He is widely travelled and has attended and presented papers at both local and international conferences including Law and Social Transformations, at Lancaster University, Lancaster USA (2019), and Sustainability Leadership at Yale University, Connecticut, USA (2016). He was an associate editor on the Editorial Board of the Nigeria Weekly Law Report (NWLR). Odumosu belongs to several professional bodies among which are the Nigerian Bar Association, the National Association of Law Teachers, the American Health Lawyers Association, etc. He is a creative writer, author, and reviewer.
